Ten actives grouped into two pathways plus a gut-brain bridge. Each ingredient is named below with what it is for and, where the research literature has a typical trial dose, what that dose is — so you can weigh Memovolt against what published trials use.
An honest caveat you will see repeated: the Memovolt label names the ten actives but does not print an individual milligram for each. That is a common pattern in this category and it is worth naming plainly rather than hiding, because it limits what a review can definitively conclude about dose-vs-research match. Memovolt is manufactured in an FDA-registered, cGMP-compliant US facility. Being FDA-registered is not the same as being FDA-approved — the U.S. Food and Drug Administration does not approve supplements before sale — and any page conflating those two words is either careless or dishonest.
The formula at a glance
| Active ingredient | Pathway | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| Metabolic | A plant alkaloid best known for its research around blood-sugar and lipid metabolism. Traditional trials use gram-level split doses because oral bioavailability is under 1%. | |
| Metabolic | The safer of the two culinary cinnamons (low coumarin), studied for post-meal glucose response and general metabolic support. | |
| Metabolic | A triterpenoid from banaba leaf researched for insulin sensitivity and glucose transport, most often at 10 to 30mg daily in trials. | |
| Brain | A sulfated polysaccharide from brown seaweed with early-stage vascular and immune research. | |
| Metabolic | A carotenoid from brown seaweed studied for its role in adipose-tissue metabolism. | |
| Brain | A traditional botanical (Pueraria lobata) containing isoflavones with a history in circulatory and neurological support formulations. | |
| Metabolic | A branded red-orange extract with human trials around body-composition markers; the typical trial dose is 400mg daily for 12 weeks. | |
| Brain | The dominant polyphenol in olive leaf, with research around vascular health and endothelial function — the plumbing side of brain support. | |
| Brain | One of the more consistently studied cognitive-mood botanicals, with trials often at 28 to 30mg per day for 8 to 12 weeks. | |
| Bridge | A sugar alcohol most familiar from dental research; here it functions as a taste-and-texture agent and contributes to the gut-brain axis story. |

Berberine HCl
Metabolic pathway
A plant alkaloid with the widest research literature of any active in this formula, primarily around blood-sugar and lipid metabolism (see the berberine research (PubMed) reference). One honest caveat matters more than the mechanism: berberine has under 1% oral bioavailability, so clinical trials run 1,000–1,500mg daily in split doses. Without the individual milligram on the Memovolt label, we cannot check where this formula sits against that range — but any single-capsule product using berberine is realistically at a fraction of trial doses.
Ceylon Cinnamon
Metabolic pathway
Ceylon (Cinnamomum verum) is the low-coumarin cinnamon that avoids the liver-load concerns raised about high-dose cassia extract, which makes it the more sensible choice for daily supplementation. It has research around post-meal glucose response and general metabolic support.
Corosolic Acid
Metabolic pathway
A triterpenoid isolated from banaba (Lagerstroemia speciosa) leaf, most often studied for its role in glucose uptake and insulin sensitivity at 10–30mg daily. It is one of the lesser-known metabolic actives on the shelf, and its inclusion here is a fair choice.
Fucoidan
Brain pathway
A sulfated polysaccharide from brown seaweed with early-stage research around vascular and immune function. The fucoidan research (PubMed) literature is developing; this is a modern inclusion in a supplement, not a folklore one.
Fucoxanthin
Metabolic pathway
A carotenoid from the same brown seaweed family as fucoidan, studied for its role in adipose-tissue metabolism. Bioavailability is a real consideration and typical research doses vary widely; the label does not tell us which end of the range this sits at.
Kudzu Flower
Brain pathway
Pueraria lobata flower is a traditional botanical containing isoflavones with a long history in circulatory and neurological support formulations. Research is heterogeneous and typical doses vary. In this formula it sits alongside oleuropein and fucoidan on the vascular plumbing side of brain support.
Morosil (Sicilian Red Orange)
Metabolic pathway
A branded red-orange extract with human trials around body-composition markers, most often at 400mg daily for 12 weeks. This is one of the more clinically-substantiated ingredients on this label at its trial dose — and again, without the milligram on the Memovolt label, we cannot tell you whether this formula matches that dose.
Oleuropein
Brain pathway
The dominant polyphenol in olive leaf, with oleuropein research (PubMed) research around vascular health and endothelial function. Research doses typically run 100–200mg daily for measurable vascular endpoints. In a brain-support formula it targets the plumbing rather than the signal.
Saffron Extract
Brain pathway
One of the more consistently studied cognitive-mood botanicals, with saffron cognition trials (PubMed) trials often at 28 to 30mg per day for 8 to 12 weeks. This is arguably the brain-side entry with the strongest evidence base at its trial dose. Two important cautions: saffron interacts with SSRI antidepressants and should be discussed with your prescriber before use.
Xylitol
Gut-brain bridge
A sugar alcohol most familiar from dental research; here it functions primarily as a taste-and-texture agent and contributes to the gut-brain axis story. Note that xylitol is highly toxic to dogs — keep the bottle out of pet reach.
Non-active ingredients
Standard, well-tolerated processing aids used in capsule manufacture.
Interactions and cautions
Read this section before the benefits, not after. Berberine, cinnamon and corosolic acid can all affect blood glucose; stacking them on top of insulin or a sulfonylurea can go further than intended. Saffron can interact with SSRI antidepressants and lithium — talk to your prescriber before adding it. Oleuropein may lower blood pressure additively with antihypertensive medication. Berberine is not appropriate during pregnancy. Xylitol is highly toxic to dogs. Anyone pregnant, nursing, under 18, taking prescription medication, or managing a diagnosed condition should get a clinician’s sign-off before starting.
Key takeaways
- Ten actives named on the label; individual milligrams for each are not printed — named plainly rather than hidden.
- Brain pathway (Fucoidan, Kudzu, Saffron, Oleuropein) targets vascular and cognitive-mood support.
- Metabolic pathway (Berberine, Cinnamon, Corosolic, Fucoxanthin, Morosil) targets glucose and body-composition markers.
- Saffron interacts with SSRI antidepressants — the single most important prescriber conversation this label triggers.
- Xylitol is toxic to dogs — keep bottles out of pet reach.
